LENS CAPS ISSUE JVC

This problem is frequently seen in JVC camcorders of GR-D series and GR-SXM series. The Camcorder shows Lens cap even after the  Lens Cap is removed.
This problem is nothing to do with the Lens Assembly however its CCD BLock needs replacement. You can contact the JVC company for replacement of CCD
or we can do the repair for you for US$75 + shipping charges(whatever applicable).

CCD stands for Charge Coupled Device. It captures the image from the Optical Device and convert that image into electrical signals. After the Damage of CCD camera recognize no picture coming from the Lens so it says Lens cap is on.

For any other queries you can reply to this post .
The Pictures of the CCD can be seen in attachments.
